AKG Sweden – your path to education and jobs

Getting ahead towards a job or education can feel difficult on your own. That's why AKG Sweden exists. We offer individual support through the Swedish Public Employment Service's programs - always with the goal of getting you closer to working life.

Each person has different circumstances and needs. For some it is about coaching and matching to find a job faster. For others it is about being able to complete an education with special pedagogical support. What we have in common is that we always start from your circumstances and your next step in life.

Through our programs, you can receive guidance, motivation, networking and, in some cases, adjustments that will help you succeed, whether your goal is a job or education.

Individual guidance from start to finish

At AKG Sweden, we always start by mapping your strengths, experiences and goals. Based on this, we then together develop a plan for how you can get where you want to be.

Who can participate in AKG Sweden?

Your needs will vary depending on who you are and where you are located, so support can include many different elements, such as:

Write a CV, cover letter and prepare for job interviews

Find a job, training or workplace-based learning (APL)

Get guidance on training courses that can open up new opportunities

Building motivation, structure and study techniques

Get individually tailored support if you have a disability or need special aids

Regardless of which program you participate in, the goal is the same: to strengthen you and give you the right conditions to take the next step towards work or studies.

How AKG Sweden's educational support works

To participate in our initiatives, you need to be registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service and be assessed as being in need of individually tailored support. If you are entitled to the initiative, you can choose AKG Sverige as your supplier.

With us, you will have a personal tutor who will guide you through the entire process. Together we will create a plan that can include everything from study and career guidance to workplace-based learning. During your studies, we will be with you to motivate, follow up and give you the best possible conditions for success.

Our programs through the Public Employment Service

AKG Sweden offers several different programs that provide individually tailored support on the path to education and work. Here are some of the initiatives you can take part in:

Rusta och matcha (ROM2)

Rusta och matcha is the Swedish Public Employment Service’s program for those of you who need individually tailored support to get a job or start studying faster. At AKG Sweden, you will receive support from a supervisor who gets to know you and your goals. Together we will carry out a survey that can include everything from CV writing and interview training to contacts with employers and study visits.

STA – Steps to Work

Steps to Work is aimed at people who, due to ill health or disability, need work-oriented rehabilitation. The program strengthens you step by step through mapping, guidance and work-like activities – always with the goal of getting you closer to studies or work.

YIS – Vocational introduction for people with visual impairments

YIS is a program for those who have a documented visual impairment and are registered with the Swedish Employment Service. The program is divided into modules that are adapted to your needs and goals – from personal inventory and career guidance to workplace-based learning (APL).

Education

Through the labor market training courses Sales and Service and Cleaning and Service, you will receive an individual study plan and practical experience through workplace-based learning (APL).
The training courses give you valuable knowledge in service, customer service, the Office package, and trade or cleaning – and increase your chances of finding a job in sought-after service professions.

IPSU – When you need more customization

IPSU (Individual Pedagogical Support for Education) is for those who have a functional variant that affects their ability to work and who need special support to complete an education. The support is only provided when you are already participating in labour market education, preparatory education or folk high school education.

The support can involve planning, structure, study techniques or aids that make learning easier. The goal is always for you to be able to complete your education and become more independent.

To receive IPSU, you need a decision from the Swedish Employment Agency.
