What is a labor market training program?

A labor market training program is intended for anyone who has been unemployed for a while and wants to broaden their skillset. With the help of a short course, you gain new knowledge that can help you get a job. The programs focus on professions that have a shortage of trained personnel. In this way, your chances of getting a job after completing the studies increase.

There are plenty of training programs in various fields, such as construction, hospitality, and technology and vehicles. Depending on which program you choose, you can study for a few weeks up to six months. Studies and internships are full-time during this period.

An education with a focus on practical training

If you are pursuing a vocational education, you will get plenty of practical training. Workplace-based learning (APL), as it is also called, is included in all programs, regardless of the specialization you choose. The internship is an excellent opportunity for you to gain practical experience in the new professional role you are studying for.

During the internship, you also get the chance to make important connections with employers. This makes it easier for you to get a foothold in working life.
